Supported Employment is a program that assists individuals with the most severe disabilities to find competitive employment in an integrated setting with ongoing support services. These individuals have had obstacles to employment, where competitive employment has been interrupted, or intermittent, because of their disability. Due to the nature and severity of their disabilities, the following intensive and extended employment services are provided:

• Vocation evaluation and assessments,

• Work readiness and computer training,

• Job task analysis and job matching ,

• Job placement services,

• Job coaching,

• Consumer advocacy, and

• Extended follow-up and ongoing support.
